By Camilla Garrison
I made these delectable oatmeal cookies, and I can tell you, they sure do live up to their name. These cookies are delicious, but they are actually pretty healthy! You could eat these for breakfast or a snack, and think you are having a dessert. In just a little while, you could have a whole plate fresh peanut butter and chocolate goodness to share or eat all by yourself!
Recipe from Trader Joes rolled oats!
Ingredients:
1/4 cup butter
1 1/4 teaspoon baking soda
3/4 cup sugar
3 cups rolled oats
3/4 cup brown sugar
6 ounces chocolate chips (I used mini and regular sized ones)
2 eggs
1/2 cup sunflower seeds or chopped walnuts (If you like nuts in your dessert!)
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 cup peanut butter
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit. In a large bowl, combine sugar and butter, and beat until creamy. Add eggs, vanilla and baking soda and mix well. Add peanut butter and mix. Stir in oats, chocolate and seeds/nuts. Place each tablespoon (or more) about two inches apart on a lightly greased cookie sheet. Bake 12-20 minutes.
