The Adventures of Flor
By Camilla Garrison
Independent Insurance Adjuster, Jewelry Store Owner, mom and horseback rider, Kimberly Flor Keehn is a woman wearing many hats.
Recently though, she has traveled a great journey through Raleigh, North Carolina for a family gathering of life, Western North Carolina and Georgia for the Fourth of July, back to Raleigh to spend time with her parents for many weeks and again to the mountains in North Carolina until flying to Providence to visit her friend Hannah Garrison and family.
On August 12, the Garrison family picked up Flor at their teeny Rhode Island Airport: T.F. Green International, in their mini van to drive her to their home on Mount Hope.
So far, she’s gone on an adventure to the Block Island-related chiropractor David Davis for an adjustment, to The Sacred Cow for ice cream, eaten Camilla Garrison’s oatmeal cookies and Hannah Garrison’s egg scrambles for breakfast, made some delicious salads for family dinners and more!
She’ll be staying for a little longer, but soon she’ll have to return home to Sayulita, Mexico, after being away since June.
Flor says “I feel mixed, bittersweet, I like being in the USA, but I wish I could split myself into pieces so I could stay in all the different places at once.”
