Hot Chocolate Ice Cream Float

This delightful winter dessert is a hot and cold sugary phenomenon suitable for sunny and snowy days. Homemade hot cocoa paired with a scoop of your favorite flavor of ice cream. Today, I tested both double chocolate and french vanilla, both were delicious and chocolate is my all time favorite, but french vanilla definitely wins for this one.
To make this simple dessert, mix 1/4 cup sugar, 1/8 cup cocoa powder and a splash of water in the bottom of a pot until thoroughly combined. Add as much milk as you want hot chocolate, and heat until hot. Moving swiftly, pour a cup of hot chocolate and plunk a medium sized scoop of ice cream in, don’t stir or else it will get cold, but enjoy as soon as you sit down to get the best hot/cold experience!
